How does microneedling with PRP work?
Microneedling with PRP involves the injection of PRP into the skin to reduce the signs of aging and to restore and heal skin imperfections. Beyond Biologics™ obtains the PRP from a small sample of the patient’s blood. The blood sample is put in a centrifuge, which concentrates the healing platelets into a small volume of PRP that can then be injected directly into problem areas on the face.
Beyond Biologics™ injects the PRP into the precise areas on the face that need to be restored through a micro needling procedure that creates tiny channels in the surface of the skin. The PRP stimulates collagen and elastin production and breaks up existing scar tissue to make the skin look and feel smoother, brighter, tighter, and more youthful.
How long does microneedling with PRP last?
Patients see results up to three weeks following their microneedling with PRP treatment, and the effects of the treatment generally last anywhere from 12 to 18 months. For best results, Beyond Biologics™ recommends that patients come in for treatment every three months.
Is microneedling with PRP safe?
Since microneedling with PRP uses blood from the patient, there is basically no risk of an adverse reaction.
