How does using PRP for acne scarring work?
For patients with acne scarring, scar tissue in the face prohibits proper blood to the damaged areas of the skin, meaning the face retains scarring and imperfections long after the acnes has cleared. When PRP is injected into the damaged areas of the face, the concentrated platelets release proteins and growth factors that promote powerful healing and the repair of damaged tissue.
How long does the treatment take?

Are PRP facial treatments safe?
Since PRP for acne scarring uses blood from the patient, there is no risk of an allergic reaction. Patients may experience some common reactions to the procedure, however, including mild irritation, edema, bruising, swelling, itching, discoloration, or tenderness. These are temporary conditions and they usually resolve on their own within one or two day following the procedure. What can I expect during and after the treatment?
